Confluence of Sefton and Byrd Glaciers, Antarctica

As the glacier ice flows down off the flanks of Rundle Peaks and Mt. Rainbow, it is swept away by the faster moving Byrd Glacier. The sharp line running from right to left in the foreground is the boundary between the two glaciers. The Byrd Glacier has a heavily fractured surface because of its rapid flow (2 m/day).
