An ice-contact lake has developed along the western margin of the glacier, thus allowing an unique opportunity to see a cross-section of the glacier end. The view here is toward the north with ice-cored moraine in the middleground and non-ice-cored moraine in the background. Debris-rich ice bergs float around and around.
