Glacier VR

This page links to pages with included QuickTimeVirtual Reality Movies. In these movies you can control the direction of movement and perspective. These are some first efforts:

Striated Rock 1 (459 k) The first effort. A bit crude and does not respond as expected.

Striated, Polished Clast (1.4 M) This one is much smoother, the rock and the image.

Ventifact, Ak (1.6 M) Okay, so it's a little big, but well worth the effort.

Mt. Sirius View (162 k) Spin around and view the Bowden and Walcott Névés in Antarctica.

Dancing Trilobite (1.5 M) How did that get here?

To view these movies, you need the QuickTime VR Player, which is available for the Mac OS and for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.

You can download the free player from Apple's QuickTime VR site where you can find out how to download and install the software and configure your browser to play QuickTime VR movies.
