Homework Flow Tills 1999

Overview:

Flow Tills (Gravity debris flows of Lawson) are some of the most complex glacial sediments because of the many processes involved and the spatial scales of interest. How do you describe such a thing to someone who has never seen them?

Task:

From observations taken at Caldwell Park generate a report describing the nature of the flow tills observed. Assume the reader of the report has no idea what any tills are. YOU are the expert! Thus include background material sufficient to explain the processes, properties, and distribution. Pay especially attention to the distribution issue in your conclusions.

Hint you may want to include some images from the web site demonstrating the processes you claim deposited your site. Anything you can do to help the reader understand the processes are a bit help.

Report in Web format for direct posting.
