PURPOSE:

To introduce glacial processes, deposits and the effects of glaciation.

The human utilization of glacial deposits requires an understanding of their genesis and distribution.

The development of human socitey results from Quaternary Events.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

To have participants be able to observe, interpret, and report on glacial sediments and features and place those in context.

Audience:
 Glacial Geologists - first course to be followed with courses in Quaternary stratigraphy, advanced processes, and glaciology. Engineering/Hydrogeologists - course to give an understanding of deposits, their nature and distribution.
Civil Engineers - course for background about the deposits. Anybody Else - this provides insight to our surroundings
