This page is the primary reference for the Environmental Geology: Global Warming course at the University of Cincinnati. Its purpose is to provide links to information about Global Warming and to provide information about the course.

Of the environmental challenges facing Earth, the one having perhaps the most and longest lasting impacts is global warming.  Since no one can predict the future, it may be relevant to look back into the past and consider other global warming events to better understand what may lie ahead.  This course will examine the general topic of climate change on several time scales in the recent past and then ask:

Compared to the earth's past warming events, is the ongoing and predicted warming of the 21st Century a big deal?

Here's how to navigate this web site:
  • Class Info contains basic administrative information, objectives, and how this class will be evaluated.
  • Content gives lecture notes, assignments, and assignment resources.
  • Links provides access to other global warming sites.
  • Grades lists all of the grades for each each recitation.
